What Are Basic Waivered Services?

Basic Waivered Services are designed to provide the essential, daily support that individuals need to live safely and comfortably in a residential setting or in their own home.

Whether it's help with routine household tasks, personal care, or simply needing a companion, our dedicated staff ensures that every individual's fundamental needs are met with dignity and respect. We focus on enhancing the quality of daily life while ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Basic Waivered Services

We offer a wide array of foundational support services designed to cover all aspects of daily living.

24-Hour Emergency Assistance

Immediate, on-call support and problem-solving assistance for health and safety emergencies.

Adult Companion Services

Non-medical care, socialization, and therapeutic supervision to help individuals work toward their goals.

Individual Community Living Supports (ICLS)

Comprehensive assistance and training that helps older adults remain safely in their homes and actively participate in the community.

Homemaker Services

Assistance with general household tasks like cleaning, meal preparation, and everyday chores.

Personal Support

Help with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Night Supervision

Overnight monitoring to ensure safety and intervene in the event of nighttime concerns or emergencies.

Respite Care

Short-term care services provided in-home or out-of-home to offer primary caregivers a necessary break.

Waiver Programs & Funding

Supporting Access to Home and Community-Based Services

We provide services through Minnesota Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver programs and work closely with individuals, families, case managers, care coordinators, and county representatives to ensure access to the supports needed to live successfully in the community.

Our team assists with understanding service options, eligibility requirements, and the referral process. We collaborate with support teams to facilitate a smooth transition into services and to ensure that supports are aligned with each person's assessed needs, goals, and person-centered service plan.

We may serve individuals receiving support through programs such as:

  • Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI) Waiver
  • Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiver
  • Brain Injury (BI) Waiver
  • Community Alternative Care (CAC) Waiver
  • Elderly Waiver (EW), as applicable to authorized services
  • Other county-authorized Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)
